MACHINING CAPABILITIES
CNCs - Close tolerance machining has become critical in the equipment our customers are producing today. With state-of-the-art CNC lathes, machining centers and wire EDM, G&G can make the most modern parts with incredibly close tolerances.
CNC Turning & Machining Centers - give G&G increased versatility to manufacture various products requiring tapers, counter bores, bearing fits, internal threads and metric bores. Materials such as cast iron, plastics, aluminum, brass, zinc and many different exotic types of steel can be turned up to 24" in diameter.
NC Burning Center - Originally purchased to burn sprocket blanks and flame cut Engineering Class sprockets, the plate-burning machine has proved very useful for the manufacturing of many made-to-order parts. With a burning depth of up to 6" and the ability to cut various shapes from steel brass, stainless steel and aluminum, G&G's plasma and oxyacetylene burners can burn parts to your special requirements.
Broaching - G&G has structured one of the most complete broaching facilities in North America to meet a variety of shapes and sizes required by our customers. G&G has seven multi-station broaching centers and over 600 broaches on hand to produce round, square, hex, and various spline bores.
Hobbing - G&G Hobbing machines allow production of roller chain sprockets, ratchet tooth sprockets, spur gears and spline shafts to individual customer specifications, no matter what size or style. With one of the largest hobbing facilities in the country, G&G can handle all of your hobbing needs.
Grinding - With one of the largest grinding facilities in the Midwest, G&G has the capability to Blanchard grind flat plates, molds, weldments and dies up to 10' in diameter and 48" high. G&G Blanchard grinders can grind flat and parallel while maintaining extremely close tolerances. We can also grind shear blades and brake dies in most lengths, and center less grind round stock from ¼" to 4" in diameter.
Heat Treating - At G&G we have over 100 years of experience with in-house personnel in the areas of carburizing and induction hardening numerous grades of steel.
Thread Rolling - Whether it's stock or custom-made, G&G can meet your threaded rod requirements. Capable of handling material up to 6" in diameter, G&G can roll and bend parts containing various thread styles and dimensions, not only on our standard C1018 steel, but also in brass, stainless steel or aluminum.
Screw Machines - With our 16 multi spindle Screw Machines we can produce High volume machined components up to 4" diameter, with some of the shortest lead times of the country.
